I wonder if adding a space for inputting your own mnemonics (or copying and pasting from wanikani) would be a workaround?

I asked them if something like this is possible, and unfortunately (just like you guessed) at this point in time they said no for apps that intend to go commercial.

I'm now close to 200 Kanji and noticed there is one thing that probably would help retention a lot: Using mnemoics.

I wonder if displaying wanikani mnemoics is in the scope of this ticket?

I would need to get permission from the Wanikani devs for that. I doubt they would give it, but on the off-chance they do, you would still need a Wanikani subscription to use that feature.
