Whenever I click on the study button, it takes me to the lesson view with the start button but the app freeze and I have to kill it to restart it.

Had same issue with Motorola X4 and Android 9, also fixed after last update
Problem solved with the last update it seems.
What version of Android are you running? What locale are you in? Could you take a screenshot of what you see? (I believe you take screenshots by holding power + volume down for 1 second)
